As I look around at all the bodhran tippers available, I notice that the only thing that they have in common is the off-set center. The grip or indentation (as well as the ends, or knobs) can vary from stick to stick. This is what makes turning these little goodies so much fun.
Each of my tippers is individually hand turned on my "Mini Jet" wood lathe in my little shop in Sebastopol, California, out of woods such as Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, Walnut, Bocote, Cocobolo, etc. I decide on the style of tipper while I am turning the stick so no two are exactly alike. What you get is a one of a kind bodhran tipper that is guaranteed to work on your Irish drum, made with alot of love and respect for the craft and the art.
I'm sorry, but due to the increasing cost of shipping, shipping materials, gas, and Paypal's cut, I need to raise the price of the tippers to $22.50 (US) and it's best to pay by Paypal
but a cashier's check or money order is fine too. Just click on the "add to cart" icon for Paypal or send me an email as to which one you are interested in and we'll take from there. And remember, there's more on the way.
As you can see, some are shorter and lighter. These are for the smaller hands.
Unfortunately, the photos don't do them justice. I guarantee that when you get your "one of a kind" Carney Bodhran Tipper, it will be in perfect focus and work on practically any Irish drum you can find!
