Mike Southworth, Chris Carney, Ernie Noyes, Evan Morgan... 
Evan has been playing guitar since he was a little kid basing his acoustic guitar style on the likes of Clarence White, Doc Watson and Norman Blake (amoung others). He became the guitar player for the seminal bluegrass band "Lost Highway" and then went on to become a master at electric guitar as well becoming a member of The New Riders of the Purple Sage.
He's come back to his acoustic roots and we are lucky to have such an accomplished guitar player in this band! 
Mike has a lifelong love of music, enhanced by decades of playing folk, bluegrass, celtic and old-time music on guitar and banjo. Connecting with this band has brought it all together, been a lot of fun, and given Mike a place to develop his own musical style.
Ernie is a long time participent in the Sonoma County Old Time music scene. Hailing from the East (Phillie), he honed his musical skills and uncanny memory for songs, during the folk and traditional music revival of the 1960's. We're lucky to have such a fine musician in this band.
Chris grew up playing music. He started early playing the trumpet and french horn (along with the guitar) through elementary school, high school and in college studied the woodwinds and strings but finally came to his senses and settled on the fiddle, banjo and guitar in the late 1970's and has been playing Old Time and Celtic music ever since. Crooked Holler String Band has a unique approach to the style of music we play. Old Time for sure but we like to think of ourselves as a transitional string band. If a song seems like it would fit with our sound, whether it comes from The Stanley Brothers, Bill Monroe or Maybelle Carter or The Skillet Lickers (or anywhere in between), we'll try it out and if we like it, it goes in the repertoire. And that's in addition to our original tunes. "A very enjoyable band and lots of fun to listen to..."
